Product Designer · Apple

hi, i’m

Julie Ahn

I make complex systems feel simple.

Most things I work on start messy.

I like that part.

I remove what doesn’t need to be there.

Supervised by a tiny human () and a slightly unhinged dog ().

03 · About
“Outnumbered at home by two very opinionated personalities—both in charge.”

My daughter, (her Korean νƒœλͺ…, or baby nickname, meaning “baby chestnut”), and my Australian Shepherd, (walnut). Both in charge.

I’m a product designer at Apple, where I’ve spent the last four years turning messy, complex systems into things that feel simple (or at least like they should’ve always been that way). I care about clarity, flow, and the tiny details you only notice when they’re missing.

Most of the problems I work on start undefined and a little chaotic—that’s my favorite part. Outside of work, I’m usually being overruled by Bamtori and Hodu, who have very strong opinions and absolutely no interest in my design systems.
